Oculus Rift S "play area not found" every time I take it on/off (did not happen with demo)
Essentially, every time I put the headset on, I have to do the whole play area setup with the Oculus software. This didn't happen with the demo, nor any games which run through Oculus VR such as AMS2. Any suggestions?

Not a help, but I'm using a Rift S with rF2 and I don't have this problem, so it's definitely not ubiquitous.

Although, come to think of it I skip the play area set up - you can play without the guardian.

Strange symptoms but I try a few suggestions:
Make sure your room has enough light, otherwise the cameras don't see clearly and the guardian system can panic and make you redraw the play area.
Next time it happens you can cross-check the time stamp with Oculus log files in AppData\Local\Oculus.
When you put the headset on peek under the visor to check if any SteamVR or Oculus windows are visible on your monitor. They don't appear in the headset but beware mouse actions you do in RF2 UI may trigger other windows apps if they are in foreground on your monitor display.
