Err, did your friend buy the DLC?
Reads like you put on an eye patch, started talking with a funny accent and developed scurvy.
Thought to myself, "Surely not, cheeky for trying it, moronic for asking why it won't work, surely I misread it"
Reread OP and because it's not the usual "friend can't see or join my server but I can" problem but involves an unusual "paid content packaged for a friend" it's hard to not think about life on the high seas before a mutiny.
We both bought the DLC. I can join the server but he keeps getting failure. We both have the DLC's installed and they are showing up in the package manager. If we use normal non-paid mods then it's fine but every time he tries to install the package file for the mp server it won't install. It's very strange.
We will try again this week. He has kids so his time online is limited. We spent an hour messing around last day to no avail.
When you say "he tries to install the package file for the mp server it won't install" do you mean he selects the server in the server list of the launcher and then selects "join" which is when the package file starts but fails to download?
Or is he doing something else?
