Controller Issues, Need Help
I've tried several types of controllers, Xbox 360 wireless, Xbox 360 wired, Xbox One afterglow wired controller and a Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510.

rFactor 2 with Windows 10 won't recognize the wired Xbox 360 controller, the other three controllers produce oversensitivity to the steering where it's mega hard to control the any car especially when trying to setup a turn. It almost feels like the controller input is set to digital instead of analog if that makes any sense in trying to explain the problem i'm having.

Does anyone have advice on a controller setup that works for them?

TIA !

I play with a wired Xbox 360 controller, Windows 10. First time I loaded the game it didn't recognize the controller, I had to quit the game and load it again to get the X360 controller to work. Default controller settings suck, I managed to make controls better after many hours of testing but controller still doesn't work as good as in rF1.

If you are using Windows, get a device compatible with Windows.
If you are using a Driving sim, get one with a wheel on it.

Ive set mine up to the same feel as i have in Assetto Corsa (Using steam Controller but left stick is basiclly the same as the Xbox One/360 controller, tried to get the same feel as my old Logitech wheel before it broke and imo feels perfect,
Heres the settings i use:
Steering rate 70%
Speed Sensitivity 20% (not recommend any higher unless you have a wheel, and every Sim recommends this for a Gamepad)

and in the box below
Sensitivity 20%
Deadzone 0% or put it at 2% if you have an old weared left stick that tends to drift if not touching the stick

Hope that is of some help

Thank you for the settings, I'll give them a try. ☺

No problem, if you still struggle with the sensitivity try turning steering rate up a notch again to 73% and in the box below where there is only Sensitivity and Deadzone put the sensitivity down to 15%, it will feel more like project cars controller defaults but might be a good starting/learning curve and a more enjoyable experince for newcomers to the Rfactor 2 experience

I tried your suggestion and it worked like a charm. In fact I didn't have to make any changes to the controller settings. I'm now able to enjoy the 1988 F1 mod by Caterra 4. I may still use Mezzer's settings to see if I can fine tune it a little more.

Thanks again everyone for all your suggestions. !
