Missing executable error on linux
On my first attempt to launch this game, I got an error that it failed to start due to a missing executable. Checked the installation folder, and the linux executable was there. Checked the logs, and found the error logged the missing file as a ".exe" file, which would normally be a Windows executable. The linux executable that is actually present, is a .x86 file. I made a symlink named Mirrored.exe that points to the existing Mirrored.x86, and the game starts.

We believe this has been a missing x64 binary on the Linux (and Mac) release. This issue should have been resolved as of hte latest patch (1.01). If the problem persists try a reinstall.

I hope the issue is resoved for you, but plese let us know if it persists.

The executable wasn't actually missing, it's present and it works. However, as I said, the logs showed the error as a missing .exe file, so it appears it was launching incorrectly, attempting to execute a non-existent Windows executable instead of the actual linux executable that is present. It's a launcher problem, not a missing file. The simplest fix for me, was to create the .exe file it was looking for, as a symlink pointing to the actual linux executable. Works for me, but the installer should be fixed so that it installs setup to launch the appropriate file for the host os. My guess is a copy/paste error from a Windows installer script to the linux version, perhaps?

Well, it's not. I have a Mac and I just bought the game and I can't make it run. I got the missing executable error. I also don't have the computer skills to fix this with a symlink, whatever that is. I've tried the generic reinstall, restart, deleting the appchache folder etc but the problem persists. The game looks awesome, I'd love to play it, but I really could use some help here.

Apologies for the issue. We have just pushed a new Mac config to steam that we hope will resolve the issue. It may require a reinstall. Please let us know if the issue persists.

The game launches perfectly under Debian AMD64 (and 32-bit Steam).
