Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE)

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE)

SKSE Special Edition (SKSESE) estimated completion date.
Can someone provide an up-to-date estimation of when this might be finished? Over a month ago I saw many estimations that it would take a month or two to complete, so surely by now someone has a better idea of what's going on. Thank you, I am eagerly awaiting this, as I am sure many others are.

"Skyrim Special Edition has been released, and the original SKSE will not work with it. We are currently investigating the application to create a SKSE64 build for the Special Edition. This will not be a fast process. The update to 64-bits means a lot of investigation and changes. Much like the work that has gone into F4SE this will take a tremendous amount of effort. We appreciate your patience while this work continues. We have no timeline for a release. - the SKSE team 29 October 2016"

Here's hoping shortly after new years.
Thanks. Shortly after starting this thread, I stumbled across a reddit thread where a developer was posting updates. By the sounds of things, they have only just started. Could be at least a few more months by the sounds of it.

I just started to play and own both versions. Looking at the current state of mods for SE, I'm sticking with the original. Some mods might not even get a SE version...
About a week ago I started modding special edition, and there are a lot of good mods ported over. I've got 165 installed, and it handles it very smoothly, but I too, am still waiting for many mods to be ported over, especially grass mods. I have also found the current state of ENB presets for the special edition to be quite bad. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but no matter what preset I use, it looks worse than some of the presets I used on old skyrim.
