Been a 3DS/Maya/Mobu user for a *long* time but been watching Blender from afar, wondering when I'll finally make the plunge.
Blender, you got me. Maybe not as a replacement for Mobu (just yet), but I shall be transitioning from today.

Can anyone confirm with tangible evidence that saved files from 2.79 are corrupted since the latest 2.8 release update? I'm in love with Blender SOO much but I have an uneasy sense of trepidation in installing the latest version if this happens to my work. TY in advance

Well this update turned blender to trash. any way I can change all the keys back to how they should be?

@Kaulann I strongly recommend learning the new keymap, but if you insist on using the old one, go into Blender's preferences and change the keymap to Blender 2.7x.

The Template don't show when you hit number 5 and 3 in numpad

It's been a while since I touched Blender, after a busy few months. I did spot the screenshots of the new design, but it surprised me when I opened it up now. I reaaallly love it, it's simple and easy. Really well done, thanks.

It is a total spasm to use the new version. How can I download the old version in Steam? Or is there a 2.79 Theme for 2.8? The new version hides so many important buttons, which now require more clicks. The most important button is eg to set keys. It will be hidden in a dropdown menu ... I have not in vain a 4K monitor so you can see as little as possible.

i would. this update has removed lots of useful things in blender and added nothing to replace them. This version of blender also lags far more than 2.79. and I don't understand everyone talking about the new real time rendering? It looks exactly the same as the old rendering accept we have that terrible looking evee thing.

Now that I am used to it. Thank you soo much for this update. I'm soo happy I could cry.

Enjoying EEVEE greatly, and happy to now have easy access to it in my Steam install of Blender as well. Thank you for this, Blender Team!
