Major Lag since 3.5 Update
Since the 3.5 update, I've noticed a major uptick in the amount of lag during normal use.
The lag especially occurs when a subdivision surface modifier is being used.
Even just rotating the view with a subdivision modifier on now causes tons of lag.

I've also noticed that switching between render modes and editing modes now takes around 3-6 seconds to complete, while the transition used to be almost instantaneous.

yeah i also get weird lags now even tho i have a 3080ti, not only that but it also broke the sculpt brushes on my existing project.

Terrible update

I have A sub-d model onscreen with 27 million tris, and that is smooth. Turn on wireframe display (optimised), however, and it slows down a fair bit - though not lagging per se.
Having just plain subdivided polys rather than sub-d is also fine, but slows down a lot with wireframe on, or in Edit Mode. To me this is normal. Once the polys get above 64 million then it it is still smooth, but Wireframe causes the swapfile to kick in and ram usage to go above my RAM limit.

I'm seeing a little, too, but not "I can't work" lag. Hopefully an update will be out soon.
