Blender bugging out and crashing
I was remaking a donut for better understanding, but the moment i used Shift+H, blender bugged out and won't show half of the model on edit mode, so the moment i reloaded an autosave, Blender crashed, this has happened 2 times and at first i didn't give it much of a thought but if this continues thrice it is very problematic to me, is there a workaround? Maybe i need to use Blender 2? Or use Blender outside Steam?

Edit: here is my crash log and the recovered autosave.

Does your computer meet the minimum requirements for Blender? If it doesn't, you'll need an older version with less demanding requirements. Your computer may not be able to support extremely detailed scenes: watch out for using too many subdivisions or particles.

:cpucores2: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H 3.3 Ghz (boost clock up to 4.2 Ghz)

If my computer can run GTA 5 at Ultra settings with a ENB/Reshade mod at 160 FPS, then blender shouldn't be crashing like this randomly.

Also, my Subdivision's levels viewport was only set to 4.

Could you please give us the exact steps to get the crash, starting from opening the blend file you uploaded? Or is it not the same every time?

The suggestion of giving details is good, but I'd also like to note for the future that how well your computer runs games doesn't have much to do with how well it runs something like Blender. 3D art packages require specific features in a a graphics card to run correctly, and if you're card lacks those, it will either not run at all or crash randomly. Your card only has 4 GB of VRAM, so you'd find running a GPU renderer like Octane or Redshift to be challenging (I don't think the GPU version of Redshift even runs on less than 8 GB of VRAM).

You also only have 16 GB of RAM, which isn't enough for very large scenes or even moderately complex simulations. 4 subdivisions in the viewport is kind of a lot, especially if you don't have much RAM. For the dougnut it's probably fine, but if you decide you want to do more modeling, be careful to avoid adding too much geometry this way or you will get crashes. You can open the task manager while you have Blender running to see how much of your RAM is being used.

It happened randomly while on Edit Mode, idk how to replicate it, i barely have anything open other than Blender.

Can i make 3D art on blender in a small environment like a room atleast? i'm okay with inability to create realistic renders or build a large world, i simply want to 3d model in my own stylized way and create toon art in Blender.

So I checked out your Blend file, and you don't have anything complex going on and the poly count is quite low. Nothing about that file should be crashing your computer. You say you "barely have anything open other than Blender", but you might try working with just Blender and the Youtube tab open with the video you are following along with.

Shift + H just hides everything. To unhide hidden things (or hide them again if they are visible and you don't want them to be), click the eye icon next to the item you want to hide or show in the Outliner (that's the window in the upper right of Blender's default layout).

If Blender runs fine for you, you should be able to create things like rooms. Where your computer will likely fail you is if you want to create large detailed environments, simulations with lots of objects, or highly detailed sculpts.

Try working in Blender with just Blender and Youtube open. If that fails, try working with just Blender open. If that still doesn't work, uninstall Blender and try installing a previous version directly from the Blender website. Keep stepping backwards until you find a version that runs correctly on your computer. Blender's system requirements have gotten higher and higher over time, so one of the earlier versions will probably work OK for you.

Don't worry, you can do a lot of things with your system, it's not that bad.
Since your crashes are random, there isn't much we can do. You can try different drivers.

It's constantly crashing on Linux, I'm about to lose my mind. Maya is more stable than Blender at this point. I am just modeling a freaking gun and I think for 6 hours it crashed like 15 times, I am not exaggerating. Test your builds before releasing them... btw I am recording while I work so if you want proof just let me know and I will upload the video when I am done.

EDIT: It just freaking crashed again just because I pressed TAB to go to edit mode. I just can't anymore, I'm about to switch to a different app.

EDIT#2: STILL CRASHING ON WINDOWS!

While that sucks (and we don't need proof, what for?), this is a problem (mostly) no one else is having, so you have to do a little troubleshooting to figure out where the issue is instead of blaming it on an untested release.
Edit: Or switch to a different app, up to you. Use what works for you.

Untested!? ♥♥♥♥ it's the newest official release. I even tried to downgrade it and it still crashes.
The Renderer Jan 21, 2023 @ 2:50pm
Yes. As I said. The problem is not an "untested release" like you claim. Since it obviously has been tested and works for nearly everyone. The problem is somewhere in your system or with your drivers or something.

I might have found the solution, it seems that my save file was corrupted, so I saved my scene as a FBX format and then imported everything into a new scene, so far not a single crash. Also for those who are using OBS, try to record in different ways, such as window capture, I heard that it can sometimes cause crashes.

Sorry for losing my temper, I've had maybe 40 crashes, so I was pretty angry yesterday.

No problem, it's understandable. I'm glad it works now. :)
