On the Image Viewer tab u shoudl click over "image" on the bottom left toolbar and select " save as image ", put a name to the file and chose where to save it. Then Click top right to Save button. ( u can choose from different file types by the "properties" tab on the right side under "Output".
It may be a bug compatibility with Nvidia.
The last 2 driver updates are giving me problems in games, with Cinema 4D strange things happen too, the program sometimes does not open, others with CPU usage is at 100% for no reason.
Sorry my bad English :S
just render the scene - next once it has done click "save as image" under the "image" option, give it a name and save it. try check the options under properties if u have something changed as file output or whatever else. Last chance is to check the files with steam and try to see if some file has been deleted or corrupted. :/ let us know if u find a solution and/or what u did to make it work. =)
Looking on google: I found the problem in own Wiki.
Blender is not like other 3D editors, is the only one "NO SAVE" renders automatically after finishing. According to the WIKI to save images, do rendering with "F12", when render is finished press "F3" to save the image.
The default route "/tmp\" is not to save the image, is where temporary files are stored, where asking format (PNG / JPG, AVI / MP4, etc ...) is default format to save file when you press "F3".
Youtube Video rendering.
