How do you copy an object?
I want to copy a tree to same scene but not in to same location but to a new location on top of a
flat box to make some kinda forest, I already have the top face of the box divided to use it as guide.

Thanks

Shift+D if you want to copy the mesh and edit it further.

Alt+D if you want to create an instance (linked copy) of the object. If you make edits they will affect both objects.

You can move the new object with G. If you want to snap the object to another object you can enable snap (magnet icon and dropdown in 3D view bottom bar) or use a command first to snap the cursor to new location and then to snap the selection to cursor.

Same problem again but I think I got nearly what I wanted I use ctrl+j ( join objects ) but they end up all in one and can't edit the windows so had to edit the house again and seperate each window and the dor and the roof but now they are 7 objects.
How do I make a group or what ever I need to have a object and the others part of it and editable if needed, oh and later I need to move a copy of the entire house to have 3 house not same but same object with other colors.

Google "Blender parenting objects".

Make sure you apply the scale of your objects or you might get some weird stuff happening. If you scale anything in Object mode then it is not applied, if you scale in Edit mode then it is. Look at the x,y,z scale values of an object under the "Object" tab of the properties window, if they are not all 1.000 then you need to apply it, bottom menu "Object"(in Object mode) -> Apply -> Scale.

also worth pointing out, you can select verts and hide them by pressing "H" (and then "alt+H" to show everything again).
it is quite handy to select a vert in a part of an object, press "ctrl+L" to select all connected verts, and then just "H" to hide them and work on another part that was hard to see clearly before.

another way to accomplish the same thing is to select the thing you want to remain unhidden, and press "shift+H" to hide everything except what was selected (and then "alt+H" to show everything again, as before).

this, of course, carries both pros and cons compared to grouping/parenting objects instead, so you will have to figure out what works best for your intentions.
