Im trying to make the damn donut from Guru tutorial
When i do the parrenting part, the icing and the donut moves different ways. but when they are not parrented they are glued togheter anyways and they move at the same position they are, basically no issues. BUT how do i fix this? becouse when i put the plane model the whole part literally moves, at this point my whole pc moves with the software too.

You probably just need to step back a bit, and watch closely, There should be no problem if you follow along.

What do you mean by the "at this point my whole pc moves with the software too"?

Ermm. Okaay... I'll take your word for it. As for the tutorial, it does need a bit of an update, since Blender has changed a bit in the last couple of years, but it is a pretty useful one to do, and thousands of people have learned from it, so don't give up. If you can't spot where things went wrong, I can only suggest stepping back to a saved version from just before the point where you have problems.

Select both parts in Object Mode, and use:
Object/Apply/All Transforms. To make sure everything is centred around 0,0,0, and all rotations are zeroed.

If you still get the same problem. Make sure you always have the same Settings as he does, especially Transform Orientations, Transform Pivot points, and Snap Settings (the 3 icons top centre).

Another thing that might be worth a try is downloading a version of Blender from Blender.org that matches what he is using to finish the tute. You can get a standalone version so you don't mess up your installed version.

I think i know whats the issue. When i was doing the icing, for some reason the material is locked onto the donut. No idea how to get it off, only way i can think it could work is to parrent them and then unparrent them again. So they become one thing only. but it's so bugged i wanna smash my head on the keyboard.

Weve all been there with that feeling! You are always improving your skillset, even when making mistakes. Keep the synapses forming and before long much of it will be second nature and muscle memory. Youll find yourself later wanting to not learn how to do something but rather how to streamline its flow. Its art right!? Have fun. :goodjob:
