Is there a way to bring back old modifier menu in the Preferences settings?

There doesn't appear to be an option natively, but there's this addon on Gumroad that does exactly that. I agree the older layout was much cleaner and more intuitive to use

thank you for this. I was about to make my own post asking for this before seeing this one. I don't want to dig through categories when I go to add a modifier because sometimes I might not know what modifier I want and having all of them visible to me made it so I could quickly scan my eyes over it and spot the one I need.

I tried the google search thing but it doesn't seem to bring up the right results, or the addon is gone.

now i dont know where any modifier is. remember when we wanted blender 4.0? its fine and all but its also very confusing, and has lots of problems and/or bugs.
