How can I bake transparent materials?
I'm currently tying to create a model for Hammer SDK. When i try to bake a base color of an object I have no problem doing it, but when I try to bake a transparent material it just gets shown as black in the UV editing. I need to be able to export this material with transparency on it(just like having one layer with some text on it and the background is made transparent).

Any help appreciated.

alphas are a bit tricky in blender.
there are several settings that need to be set.
for baking you need cycles renderer.
in output properties, output, file format, set to png and rgba.
in the compositor (use nodes), render layers, alpha has to be connected to composite as well.
under material properties, setting, blend mode set to alpha blend.
in the shading tab the created image texture also needs the alpha box to be ticked

I know that baking is only supported in cycles. I usually to it by creating an image texture in shading tab and then unwrap the object. After that I select the image texture node and the object, then I go to render properties and in the bake dropdown I set the bake type to Diffuse and then I uncheck Direct and Indirect.

In output properties .png and rgba are setted by default. As for the compositor(which I don't know how to use)I tried to connect the Render Layers alpha to Image(later I also tried Alpha to alpha) to copmposite node. I also went to viewport display dropdown in material properties and set the blend mode to Alpha blend and finally created an image texture(alpha is usually checked by default). I baked the image but the result was still a black image in the uv editor.
