I'm aware of UPBGEs history though it was removed from blender originaly cause valve couldn't get it right at the time but some one picked it up and gave it a face lift my older sibling recomended it to me so it must be good tests are promising so fare.
Valve has nothing to do with Blender.
Of course you can use UPBGE if you just want to fiddle around a little or simply learn how to make a game. But if you want to do a serious project I'd suggest Godot, Unreal or Unity. Maybe even for learning, considering you can much easier find tutorials and other information for them than for BGE.
Unreal and Unity only ask for money once you actually start to earn a lot of money from a game and Godot is free.
The idea is to leave unity behind for good and I already looking up unreal before hand they do charge you and its a hell of alot of money I do not have.
I have heard of Gobot and am interested I'll have a look later.
In the mean time any game engine I can afford thats not unity is welcome.
Just make sure it has node base programing please its one of the reasons I went with UPBGE, I think Gobot has it again I'll have a look later.
I'll stick to UPBGE for now GOBOT sounds like another unity waiting to happon now.
Why dose C script have to ruin game engines it tutchs.

My current project may have to abandon the open world idea for a more ocarina of time style map set up.
Atleast I now know you can't climb a ladder in the current configuration.
I'll keep testing I still have to make a fully functional level before I can end this next experiment.
The Game in question won't be the same as I planed no open world more ocarina of time style but we'll see as the last of the experiments conclude.
And the current project restarts and remodels.
Forgot to mention, there's also the Armory Engine
All experiments are now complete.
Project Lycan Legends Tails of Teia can now resume.
New assets will need to be made to acomidate UPBGEs limitatons and requirements.
I'm currently working on textures for an armour redesign.
And will be makeing a low poly version of the overworld for the replacement main menu.
Most things will be transfered over from the now fully obsalite unity 5 to the new engine.
It saddens me that the open world concept has to be droped due to the new engines limitations but with the way things are right now and the fact I hate C script and how pointless it is to try and learn it I have to use what I can find my budget is tight.
I know some of you have doughts about UPBGE but I'm not abandoning this project like the last one.
I will see it though you'll see.
And they're all pretty much garbage compared to dedicated game engines.
Which is fine, you do you, but saying that "C script ruined" an engine is just inane.
