Wrapping duct tape around complex objects.
So I want to wrap tape around my model, but I have no luck with shrinkwrap modifier. I have tried doing it manually but it looks awful.
Any help would be awesome.

you can try making multiple cylinders overlap and twist them slightly, then use the shrinkwrap on the cylinders to the bomb. Add a little offset to give depth, then apply the shrinkwraps. once applied, edit the mesh as required. When done with the edit, you can join the cylinders in to one object for vertices merging and doubles removal, unwrapping and texturing.

Thanks! It turned out better than anything else I've tried so far.
The shrinkwrap modifier is a bit tricky to use (for me atleast) because I can't control the "stickiness".
By the way should I add a solidify modifier to the tape or it's not that important in this case?

Place your tape strips inside of the model, then apply 1 or 2 sub div, and then apply the shrink wrap modifier for better result, after that you can apply mods then add a solidify mod.
