"Could not write image : No Error"

Im making a skin for a gun and i used a .dds file to put textures on it and used tools in blender to modify it on the go, however when i was happy and decided with my work i wanted to save that texture image so i can take a break and continue later, however every time i try to save that image it shows up the error as shown in the title of this thread.

Also, before you type a possible answer to my problem, please note that im not that expierienced with blender, i just started learning it, so try to explain it as simple as you can, Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if blender can write .dds files. I learnt, that it can import them as textures. Does the same thing occur when you try to save your texture image as a different file format like .png.
