Linking Shape Keys across Objects?
Is it possible to link Shapekey-Values across Objects if they have the same shapekeys, so that when you apply a shapekey on the main objects, all the sub-objects apply the same value to the same shapekey?
I'm speaking about Objects in the same Scene/File btw, not linked stuff across different Files.
And if yes, then how so?

Create your shapes on the 2 objects (it doesn't matter if they have the same name or not). Once completed. select the shape you want to be the control for the shape keys of the 2 object, right click on the VALUE and select copy as new driver.

Select select the second object then select the shapekey on the other object you want to be controlled by this driver, Right click on that shapekey's VALUE field and select paste driver. The control will turn purple.

Now you can use the shapekey from that first object to work both shapekeys.

(Not sure if you'll be able to see this. Imgur changed for posting albums and I'm not sure if you'll have permission with the link. Let me know if you can't see it.)

You should be able to paste the driver across multiple object shapekeys so that one key will drive them all.

If you need to make adjustments to the amount of influence the driver is applying to the other shapekeys, then you would do that through the driver editor for the shape you need to make the adjustment. (which is a totally different thing to what you're asking here)
