Just increase the thickness on the solidify modifier a bit. Anyway..it will be no issue when rendering. More of a viewport artifact.

Anyway to fix the crease you can try : select all verticies of the icing object and hit M ->by distance. That should get rid off any verticies on top of each other.
If it is an issue with the face normals you can select all faces and hit ALT-N -> Recalculate normals outside. If the direction of the thickness of the icing flips you can either flip the normals using ALT-N or give the solidify modifier a negative distance, as solidify's direction is based on face normals.
Do you have a screenshot of the verticies that you snapped to the donut surface, I wonder if that V shape in your screenshot is vertex that didn't snap to surface or just a screendrawing artifact with the outline.
