Accidently hid part of the mesh? Double geometry?

I dont think so, alt + h did nothing, and I tried merge by distance and that didn't work. the closest I could get was applying all transforms, and redoing stuff cause a bunch of verts got deleted for some reason. been having a lotta issues lately with trying to use the auto mirror function, I applied transforms to my mesh before using it and it seemed fine but then got into issues like it not mirroring properly or not moving verts on the mirrored side and junk
When you apply all transforms it sets the object origin to the world origin. This can mess with your mirror modifier. In case you have moved your object or anything other pivot point related modification.

I did it before putting on the mirror and then moved the origin point to the mesh, then when I did it again afterwards it kinda fixed it. I have it to a point now that it looks how I want but I dunno why I had artifacts like that

This might not be the problem your chasing, but you have a Mirror modifier on the model and your creating 2 sides. But the model is offset from the center of the floor grid. Where is the model's origin point and what is being considered the center part of the X axis for the Mirror?
