Naming bones
I've downloaded a model from sta.sh to Blender with the whole skeleton already made, it just needs to have all respective bones named so I can port it to SFM. Now I'm brand new to Blender and have no idea where anything is located or even how to select and move an object, could someone please dumb it down for me so I can name the bones?

When in Edit mode of your Armature simply select a bone and hit F2. This is be the easiest way to rename objects, as it doesn't involve having to navigate to an item menu.
Otherwise you would do that in the bone menu

F2 is the general rename hotkey so you can use it on most items in blender.

This May sounds ridiculous, but how do I get into Edit Mode? I tried ctrl_tab but it only shows Object Mode on the wheel
Try TAB without the control key, or simply switch using the dropdown at the top left of the 3d view. Note that mode switching is context sensitive so to switch to Edit mode you have to have your armature selected.

I’ve tried both and I’m only provided with Object Mode

Context sensitive, you have to have your armature selected. If you don't have anything selected, there is only object mode.

Might want to go through some of this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa1F2ddGya_-UvuAqHAksYnB0qL9yWDO6
