Ruined a model by using mirrors please help
I'd do one side then mirror it but now I can't paint the textures like normal.

Are you using a mirror modifier? Unless you applied the mirror modifier and UV unwrapped the model aftwerwards, the texture painting would just work on one side of the model...eventually mirroring over the texture to the other side, as the mirrored faces aren't real until you applied the modifier.

I received help from arcane university Discord but it didn't really help much.
I need someone more experienced then to fix my errors for me.
I am willing to pay if it's needed

Can you show a screenshot so we can see whats happening when texture painting? And also the setup of your mirror modifier, so we can see the settings and the origin point it mirrors along.
This will most probably be an easy fix, we just need some extra info.

A mirror is a mirror. What appears on one side is going to be reflected to the other. (Your only unwrapping one side of the total mesh.) If you need to be able to paint on both sides, then you have to apply the mirror and re-Unwrap the newly created mesh.

What will happen on applying the mirror is the UV for the new mesh will lie exactly on top of the original mesh and mirror the texture under it. The unwrap will split the mesh so it the UV is distributed properly making it possible to paint differently on both sides.

I've done these things but I'm still screwing up somewhere.
I'm hoping someone could fix these mistakes cause I'm clearly not able too last time I'll rely on Mirrors for shortcuts.
