Some kind of weird glitch in EEVEE rendering mode.
Hi there.
For some reason the EEVEE material render is glitching up.
https://imgur.com/a/chxyiml Check this link to see the glitch.
Applying materials, trying to check it in material or render mode is not working. Although EEVEE is glitching, Cycles is still working the same. I have tried to change my render device to CPU and to CPU + GPU yet it has no effect. Anyone else experiencing the same? Thank you.

Have you an AMD Graphics card with latest graphics drivers installed? It looks Blender not works well with them and you need to install a driver that is 2 or 3 versions back.

For example, I'm under Linux cannot use Blender with latest AMD GPU Pro 20.45 driver and use version 20.30 instead. There is 20.40 version in between but I not tested it.

It affects Windows users also.

Eevee is "realtime" rasterizing renderer and uses graphics card the same way as games do. Eevee cannot use CPU. Cycles is a ray tracer and can use either graphics card or CPU and graphics card is used in CUDA/OpenCL mode as a general purpose computing device.

Damn, is there a bug fix planned for it anytime soon?

I've actually had the same problem as you with my RX 580. What fixed it for me was going to the AMD Driver page and downloading the newest ProRender Driver available.

https://www.amd.com/en/support

That brought it back for me as it was before. Hope it does for you too.

As far as I know (I have Nvidia) ProRender is a render engine that replaces the one in Blender, so I wouldn't call that "back as it was before".

No, it's a driver. I tested both Cycles and Eevee and they are the same as they were before it stopped working.

Ah ok then I guess I confused that with the ProRender Engine.

Thats good to know...I guess that ProRender driver is comparable to what NVidia labels the 'Studio Drivers' which basicly are the Game Ready drivers with extended legacy support and such.

Good fix! As far as I have gathered 2.92 will come with somme sort of error message if that compatibility bug occurs, so people get a hint of whats going on.

Sadly, that didn't do anything. Even AMD ProRender is glitching out.

Ok, I would like to apologize to you guys as I worded myself very wrongly confusing you. I meant to say to download the Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise Driver. I'm very sorry about the mixup, I just thought of ProRender off the top of my head.

This driver is what I was going on about in my previous posts: https://imgur.com/a/LORFKko
