Hello, basically blender is rendering with my CPU - AMD ryzen 5 3600x, instead of my GPU - AMD Radeon RX570, I have OpenCL selected and my gpu marked and its still on cpu. I have newest driver for both my cpu and gpu, someone please help

So the GPU is set in the user preferences System tab.

its set to that
Now that's odd. How do you figure which one it is using? Looking at GPU/ CPU load with an external tool?
I am on NVidia, maybe somebody around here that also uses a Radeon card can commment on this.

Just for the sake of sanity, could you post a snap shot of OCCT showing the CPU/GPU load during a render? That's pretty odd. Are you in Cycles or Eevee?

I render in cycles, and yes, I can post screenshot soon

well, I dont think you can share screenshots in steam, so you just need to trust me that cpu was on 100% meanwhile gpu was calmly sitting on 25% load
Did this happen with the version 2.90 aswell or did this came with 2.91. Seems like alot of people have issues with 2.91 :(

Just chiming in to report the same issue. 2.9 works fine, 2.91 disables my NVIDIA GPU.
Can not confirm this issue for NVidia, neither for Cycles nor Eevee same as CUDA or OPTIX.
On a RTX 2070 Super here.

I havent yet confirmed this issue i am going to try out and see if something like happens and as a user that has GTX 1660. Oh and OP we nearly have the same CPU i have the AMD 3600 without the "X"

I will try out and see if it happens on my end as well with a render of a file i had worked a while back. Hopefully this issue will be resolved.

I can confirm this is true for AMD users.
Not sure if this is is also happening for Intel based CPUs.

100% CPU Usage. "Very High" Very High power usage which i had no choice but to end the render.

46 to 36% Usage of GPU

CPU
AMD ryzen 5 3600.
GPU GTX 1660.

I do hope this gets looked at. This only happens with the newer version of Blender. Not sure if it happens with the older versions of blender but i do hope it gets fixed.

Edit.
This happens when you try to render. This seems to happen as well when you use the none Steam Blender version as well.

Render Settings:Cycles/GPU selected. This issue seems to happen only when you select Rendered option and when you try to render a file.

This issue doesnt seem to happen when you go to solid or Material preview.

Oof I have a 3800x but with a 1050ti I am not even attempting Cycles except for the first time. I will do a test now, 2.9 was fine iirc.
