These are what happened to my PC since I bought it.
1.My USB device gone missing and unable to use them sometime because the driver confuses between their ports and the other device.
2.From 1 I can not even do a damn thing and I was forced to unplug my computer because I can not even use my keyboard neither mouse as well since they are USB port.
3.I spend almost a month to make it just works for pressure sensitivity ,it does not work for GIMP or other softwares so well.
4.Don't download a new driver and don't update the driver if it's not necessary, you did better make a back up of driver which works fine with your system.
New driver always cause more problem or new bug.
The last time I downloaded them because the old one just broke for nothing .yeah just open up my PC as usual and it's broke.
This time they just overwrite my default setting of motherboard.I know my mother board has some strange function to store value on their USB port but it does not mean Wacom could cause any harm on my motherboard.
And the last thing I almost get mad by their programmer is they don't have a driver that support on Window 10.
.......Incredible,really.
If you don't have a driver that works on old window ,it's understadable but window 10 has been released for a while but you still don't even have a driver that support on window 10 ?
Great .just great really.
Drivers work great on Win 7 Ult SP1 x64 (I have always just used the version that came with it on the CD)
Windows 10 drivers should be possible to get from Microsoft using normal OS update - they should even be WHQL.
The only problem I've ever had is that sometimes the tablet doesn't get detected properly (or something) when I plug it in. Opening the Windows Services program and stopping then restarting the Wacom Tablet service or whatever it is called fixes that. It only takes 10 seconds to fix when I have to do it.
I used to have that problem as well, sure doing that is not hard task but doing it everytime you are using Tablet is not a joke.
I fixed that problem by downloading an old version of driver.
May be it's because I am using Window 8.It seems like everyone were working with Window 7 and they don't have any problem with Wacom.
Linux (arch) open source drivers works fine too, never had a problem in it (if you know how to configure).
I'm in Windows 7 and am looking to buy a new tablet. My old one is a Trust tablet that first, the pressure sensitivity would only work in 32 bit apps, then it just went haywire recently and started doing that bi-positional thing where it switches rapidly between two locations, which is a nightmare.
What I want is a tablet that is relatively cheap and has a good solid driver in windows 7 and 10.
Is there even one?
In my expiriance not with Win10.
Huaweii is no longer a small company so I assume their products are only getting batter...
But yea, the only tablet I tried I can not recommend just because there is so much pain with the drivers...
BTW I use win10.
Don't forget to disable windows ink workspace, it completely breaks tablet (cant even move a cursor with it)
I made sure that I got none of the auto-update tools on my PC installed. Try to run it now and "driver is not responding", reinstall and "tablet is not connected"
However was lucky, there is a new version of the same driver that fixed this problem right away.
(Was at 26.3.29-4 before, now at 26.3.29-6)
I guess if they up that number faster than the driver breaks I can keep it up till infinity.
But if I ever get into a position where I have to use a tablet every day, I'll definatly buy a new one that won't be Wacom.
