question about sculpting and masking
I thought I saw a youtube tutorial where it was shown you could mask a area in sculpt mode invert the mask, hide the area, invert again and work on the area you want without seeing the rest of the model. Am I wrong? can you only hide selections in edit mode? im new to blender, all the tutorials sometimes blend together. If i can mask in sculpt mode and hide the mask, what are the short cut keys? if not, how would I go about hiding most the model and only sculpt on 1 area? Thanks for any info.

uuuh I dunno if its the same in sculpting as it is in modeling, I haven't done terribly much sculpting myself, but if you have a mask with a part of it selected if you do ctrl+i it should invert the selection

There are two masks in sculpting, Mask and Box Mask.
Press "t" to show/hide the toolbar.
