Faces glitching problem
When I import model file to blender half of faces are wildly glitching out and stretching through the plane of existence. However, when my friend did it everything went alright and model was correctly displayed with faces matching their vertices. How can I fix this problem for my Blender version? Thanks in advance for any help.

'AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series'

You have a GPU based on the TeraScale 2 architecture. For Blender minimum supported requirement is GCN 1st gen (see https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/).

You could try updating the drivers for it, but I don't have high hopes for this architecture.

Perhaps see if you can find an HD 8500 or HD 8700 series to replace your current card with? The HD 6700 series _is_ getting a bit old...

What format were you importing?
Mendax Jun 24, 2020 @ 10:02am
I tried to open .qc decompiled from .mdl

Did you both import the same file? (Same source)

Yes

Are these the same?

How does it look in modelviewer?

Did you both decompile with the same version of Crowbar? (or whatever)

I think you can see my line of questioning, other than software/version conflict or corrupt file I have nooo idea.

1. Yes, the settings were the same when I tried to import .qc file.

I was sent .blend and some faces are shown in such way.

We have already figured it out that the problem is within my version of Blender but I have no clue what to do (I tried simply reinstalling first. Then I deleted AppData/Blender as well because it contained some config files but it didn't help in the end)

If installing a new version of blender, find the new 'blender.exe' in C/Programs/blender/etc You can have many versions installed at the same time.

I indeed had 2.81 installed as well as the latest 2.83. I deleted the former but it still didn't work out

I thought it was the only one, the same thing happens to me but with the Blender files. This happens to me since I upgraded to 2.83.1 (It's not the same problem.)

It's supposed to be a bucket or pot but it turns into that weird thing, and the worst part is that the GPU driver stops working so I have to render from the CPU. At the moment it only happens to me with that model and .blend file.

Apart from that problem I have also found that it eats up all the RAM when rendering multiple times.

EDIT: Curious, yesterday I was on the forum and I didn't see this post but right now it came out with "20 minutes ago", the last message is from June 24, Steam, what's wrong?

When you have such glitches the problem is generally with the drivers.

It'd be good to save the system-info (Help > Save System Info), then copy/paste its contents here for further investigation.
