How to merge vertices at center in Blender 2.83?
So I’ve been using blender for quite some time now, but since the release of 2.83 I do not know how to merge the vertices at center. Before this update, the only thing you needed to do was to press Alt+M, but that brings up another menu now.

Thanks.

M -key
Thanks bro
U r welcome! They changed it back to how it was i think...hard to tell, 2.7x seems so long ago ;D
Merge was a menu option of the Vertex Menu group, they moved it to the Mesh Menu and changed the shortcut to just M (instead of Alt+M) in Edit Mode when they updated Blender 2.83.

There is some some confusion with the different changes in this version. They changed a few things around from 2.82a.

yeah for sure, ...it might have been W for context menu and then M or so...anyhow this new 2.83 is the first LTS (Long Term Support) release, so hopefully they will eventually settle on some of the hotkeys for now :)
Adding to this, I just found that when you started Blender after the update, there was an option to retain the old Blender 2.7x shortcuts on the splash screen or you can change it back in the Preferences if you missed the Splash Screen option.
