Glock Ironsights
I'm new to blender and i don't know how to make the iron sights. i have them raised up in a solid line but i don't know how to lower the middle parts at the back sight to be able to see the front sight. i have tried extruding but it drags the other vertices down too. also i think i made a mistake by having all blocks i placed into one collection thing, idk if that makes a difference though. any good videos to help because i haven't seen any.

If you could post a screenshot of the area n question it might be easier for people to give good advice.
Is it possible that u eventually have proportional editing set to on? Generally blender should only move the selected verticies without influencing any surrounding geometry, unless proportional editing is on.

Do yo mean sometrhing like this?

sorry i dont know how to post a link to my screenshot, but the link you sent is similar. i am trying to get the dip in the middle like in that but it is connected to flat and doesnt stand on a raised platform like that one does.

I dont think proportional editing was on because it was only the faces that are next to the one i was trying to move down were stretching to it.

(also sorry if i use the wrong words in wrong places like vertices or faces)

thats what happens when i scale them

Apart from that it seems that you scaled so far in that it became negative, you are on the right way :)
When scaling you can restrict the scaling to a certain axis by hiitting either x y z after you pressed 's' for scaling. (shift x/y / z excludes that axis ..like inverse).
In your case you should try ..S for scale and Y to restrict the effect on the Y axis. Then it will only scale the selection along that axis preventing that 'tieing a knot-effect (dont know what to call it ;D)
