There are a few ways search for "blender tutorials: how to reduce fireflies"
Clamp helps with some things(noise from very highly reflective surfaces being one) but at a cost to accuracy, with him saying he has "MAJOR" noise I doubt this will help much...
We really need to see a pic of your current render to have any idea as to how to help you reduce the noise, 10 000 samples is a lot! Most renders will be noise free at half this with very minimal clamping at the most.
No problem, you should get some better answers/options from people once you do :)
This was rendered at 720p at 1000 samples. Rendering at 10 000 gave me the exact same results, I studied it closely and the difference was very, very small.
Could you post a pic of you Render Settings -> Showing both Sampling and Light paths.
How are you doing your lights? Emission or lamps or a mix? Could you post/show your settings for one of these?
Do you have any glass materials covering your lights in any way?
How reflective is the material in the light fittings? A pic of this node set up and maybe your wall material and ceiling tile material node set ups might help too.

Do you get noise if you put lamps in your room(without the other lights) placed more centrally within the room rather than in the ceiling?
The lights are Area lamps (with the exact same settings), with simple cylinders with emission on it, that's it.

The lights consist of a casing, which is just diffuse, the lights are pure emission (of 30), and those "refelectors" are literally just diffuse, they made the scene even more noisy, so I removed the glossy material, then there's the lamp which is just under the entire setup.
I can't put light in the center of the room, however, I'll experiment.
Your light bounces are way too low in the light path settings, always set it to "limited global illumination" or for more realistic "Full global illumination"(I pretty much always have it on this).
Do you know how to do a viewport render for previewing your scene? If not then press "Shift+z" to toggle on off. In your "Samples" settings ramp up the "Preview" setting to something closer to your render settings, this if for the viewport preview render.
Make the reflectors in your lights reflective again when you have done this, they should work properly now with a bit of luck!

To parent objects select as many as you want to group together in "Object" mode using "Shift" select.
The yellow highlighted object will be the parent(you can create an empty for this if you like), all the dark orange outlined objects will be parented to this object.
Press "Ctrl+p" then select "Object" from the options that appear. When you move the parent all child objects will move with it, you can move child objects individually by selecting them as normal.
If you get any weird behaviour whilst doing this then it is likely that one or more of your child objects and/or your parent object does not have a scale of 1,1,1 . Make sure you apply scale before parenting objects to avoid this.
Using Branch Path Tracing helps to reduce te noise with emission material.
Later with another render I had the same problem but in a closed room. To solve the problem I downloaded the BETA of Blender 2.79 (2.78.5) with the DENOISSING function, with that I eliminate all the noise, the result is a very clear image without noise. Maybe some point is blurred using only 256 Samples.
