How to size image texture
I don't want to go crazy with UVs, because it's just a really simple thing I'm trying to do. I have an image of a bunch of leaves, and I'm using it as the displacement for a regular green shader. That's it's. Just a darkish green and a leaves image as the displacement.

My question is, is there a simple way to resize how much of the image it uses? I see this as a problem I have fairly often, where I use an image, but it's just the question of "yes or no" as to whether you use the image, and no real settings to mess with. Yes, if I unwrapped the whole thing I could resize the UVs, but there's no real point in doing that for something simple like this.

So, is there a way to resize the selection for an image texture node?

You either want to crop or resize the image itself in an external image editor, or you want a mapping node. I don't quite understand what you are after, your description doesn't make it very clear.

For the mapping node:

go on the colour tab and click on the little circle right beside the colour changer yoke then select image texture go on uv editor and click A (after selecting what you want to texture in edit mode)to select all then scale it down using S

Cool thanks! That all helped a lot. I was able to scale it a lot, so it looks more like a blurred texture rather than a crisp image, which is what I wanted. Thanks again!
