Blender model's materials messed up
hello,
I am new to blender, I got a new computer and I transferred my blender files via USB to my new computer. the files I transferred were of a halo spartan. my issue is when I open the file on my new computer, the model's material is messed up. the spartan is red but in the new blender file, the spartan is all red with a white hue outlining the model. idk whats happening. please let me know if you know how to fix this! I have a screenshot but im new to the discussions on steam so If you could tell me how to post the image that would be great! thanks SOOOOO much in advance!

You transferred the files without packing the textures, so now Blender doesn't know where they are and can't show them, hence you only get the red color (it's the color you see at 16:57 in the video). Either save your file again on your old computer with packed textures (under File -> External Data) or go to the node editor and open the image textures again and point to their location on the new computer.

At least that's my best guess based on the info you provided.

If I were you I woud wait for the decent Blender guys to post a reply as they are very helpful and unlike me, they know what they are doing.

What they will likely ask you for is your .blend file and/or maybe a screenshot of what your problem looks like.

From your reply to me it sounds like you have managed to already take a screenshot but if you don't know how to screenshot, the easiest way is to just press PrntScrn key on your keyboard then load up Paint and paste your screenshot then save it.
After this you can upload your screenshot to Steam images on the client or you can upload to imgur website or similar.

Then you can just link the screenshot here for the better Blender users to help you.

Almost looks like you have a MatCap material on that model, but your in Cycles and I have no idea where you got a PBR shader for the surface using cycles. We would have to see your node setup for that uber material....

It looks like your display format in the 3ds Viewer is set to Materials, but hard to tell. Press N while in the 3d Viewer to open the transform menu and show us how you have the Shading setup.
