Texture in viewport is not showing.
It's only showing in render. Using the texturing and material mode does not show anything. Can somebody help me? Thanks.

Are you using Blender Render or Blender Cycles?
Pte Jack Jun 25, 2018 @ 9:19pm
If you're trying to view in blender render and you have Texture View selected, if the textures have been applied to the uv's (and as you see them when rendered I'll assume you have) then you turn on Textured solids in the transform panel like this...

or change to Material, or render view. If you do this, make sure your scene is properly lit.

Im in Blender Cycles. Textured solids does nothing.
Pte Jack Jun 26, 2018 @ 11:11am
Are you using an actual texture image or blender produced texture?
10k_IQ Jun 26, 2018 @ 11:18am
Blender produced texture.

Sorry, I have to go thought this step by step, but your answers dictate the avenue I have to go down to get things working for you... ok, Blender produced textures are not displaying on a model in cycles in what view mode (solid, texture, material or render) and are you using Nodes for your materials?

I've only just started using cycles, so I too am still jumping through hoops, but hopefully we get you sorted out.

Procedurally generated textures (like one of the noise ones) will not show up in texture mode. They do show up in material mode, though. How does your node setup for the material look like? Is it just a diffuse BSDF with one of the noises as "color"?

Now, this is something I didn't know about in Cycles until just now.

In that picture the top one is my scene with the viewer set to Rendered. The colour of the model comes through as Blue as per the Simple BSFD shader I set up. It also displays as blue if I change the viewer mode to Material. However, If I change to Texture or Solid the the model displays the colour I have set up as Viewer colour in the Materials Settings box. My thoughts are that your's is set to default (clay model) Like the robot is.

Ok. The UV Grid is NOT a procedurally generated texture. It should show up in Texture and in Material mode.

Since it does show up in the render I assume you did UV unwrap your model?

And, again, please describe your node setup for the material. Or, better yet, post a screenshot. You could also upload your .blend file somewhere for us to take a look at if you want to. It's hard to troubleshoot this with the limited amount of info you have given so far.

Are you talking like this?

k, not sure how you're creating textures from SP without the model being unwrapped. The model does have to be unwrapped and mesh assigned to materials and the model exported to a format SP can load in order for SP to be able to paint it. Same for Blender, if your model is not unwrapped all the verts for that model end up at 0,0 in the uvmap in 1 pixel of space. All the mesh will pick up the colour of that pixel space or may be tris and quads that occupy the entire area of the UV space.

This is why we're asking you to give us screenshots of your project. We really can't help without some idea of where you're at in the project and what it looks like.

Hi,

@MeshCrafter please give us some links to screenshots of your project or better still a link to your .blend file.
As others have said here it will be very difficult to know what is wrong without more information, I've seen threads go on for several pages due to a lack of relevant information which is a waste of everyone's time including yours...

Thanks! :)
