So it turns out my project must have been bad, bugged, or broken because of adding the pbr addon after creating the project. I created a clean project and with a water resolution of 32 (same for samples) and it looks perfect ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
dont the liquid look horrible at a resolution of 32 though?
With smooth shading it looked pretty good. I'm throwing together a full scene for a full resolution test.
cool btw thanks for that render, wish my pc was better lol.
Right now, most Ryzen processors are on sale. You can get a 1700X (What I have in my rendering workstation) for $289 or a 1600X for $200 (My favorite being the 1800X [$330], which along with the 1700X has 8 cores and 16 threads).
I just thought I should let you know. If you're thinking about upgrading, now is a perfect time
nice one thanks for the info will look in to it.
I use Newegg. The prices are the same, but they don't charge sales tax and I've never had a problem using them. I build every computer of mine with parts ordered from them.

I dont have much experience with blender and dont know how to use mantaflow.
