Extrude Ctrl+Left mouse broken?
Just been trying to extrude verts to make more plans, the function seems to be broken, curious if I missed something. Also I can extrude normally but seem like ctrl & mouse would make extruding faster.

According to this you need to be in vertex select mode for that to work:

So try that and see if that solves it.

Been trying that, had no luck. I'm sure I've used it fine in the past but not sure why I can't do it anymore. Tried using it with model, even tried loading up a new blank blend with a simple plane and still doesn't work.

If it works let me know.

That method did work but not really as quick as just extruding via E. I was hoping to do the ctrl+left method since it seems easier to draw out extrudes or at least it seems like it from the tutorials I've watched.

Yeah, I just wanted to know if I had any problems with the operator. Because both methods use the same operator.

Possibly something (perhaps an add-on) is conflicting with the shortcut key.

Another try:
In User Preferences > Input
Mouse:
Select with: Right

No difference, mainly just got looptools, general export/import add-ons that come with Blender. (Going right is so confusing for me)

Ok, so, I think I have it. I might recommend putting it back to left mouse clicking preferences , I'm not sure if it effects this. Crtl + right click. I read it from https://www.3dtechvalley.com/how-to-add-vertices-in-blender/ and I was Sooooo annoyed it worked. just. right click instead of left click. Anyways, I hope it helps anyone looking, and I wish you well!

I don't think I've had this problem in a while. The post was made 4 years ago and Blender has updated a lot since then so it probably was a bug back then. Surprised this thread got a reply 4 years later.
