Why are my .obj files exporting all white?
I textured a model in Blender and the render shows it working perfectly, but when I export it as an .obj and try to load it into Tilt Brush it comes up textureless

what do?

with .obj usually comes a .tga file wich contains the texture, the Obj file doesn't contain any texture. u should load both in your other program

I'm using a modelling program (makehuman) that exports to a blender ready file through some sort of plugin, and it spits out the textures for it in a subfolder in the form of individual .pngs and not a .tga

After importing the .mhx2 file into blender and applying all the textures/exporting I'm left with this

An interesting thing I noted is that a model I downloaded from sketchfab that loads into tilt brush properly with all textures intact is arranged in the same way except the loose textures are .jpg's instead of .png

That .mtl file is the material for your .obj file. Make sure the paths to the textures in that file are correct (you can open it with an editor). And of course you will need the obj, the mtl and the textures to import it into Tilt Brush (I assume, never used it myself).

Here is my .MTL file, everything appears to be pointing to the right place

But no matter what program I import into, whether tilt brush or back into blender- I end up with this nightmarish thing on the left
