how do delete multiple keyframes without deleting them all?

I want to delete a bunch of frames without having to select every one.

Go on to the dope sheet and delete them

Open up the dope sheet. Using the top of the dope sheet, select the keyframes you would like to get rid of (by using the or [c] shortcut to select) and then delete them by pressing the [x] key.
