Deleting pose mode transforms
Hi all,

I am trying to export a Blender model to the Source engine. The origins of every object coincide correctly in Blender, but when I do the export, some model sections are out of line.

I suspect this is because the model armature was exported (from Fuse) with some minor transformations done to them. I have tried selecting all bones in pose mode, going to the pose menu and clearing all transforms, but:

1. It does not seem to make a difference
2. When I reload the blender file, the transformations are back.

Is there a way to permanently remove the transformations done to the bones in pose mode?

Make sure all your origin points for the armature and all the objects are at 0,0,0, rotations are set to 0 and everything is scaled to 1. (in object mode, select everything, In the object menu (or Ctrl+A I think it is) "Apply" Location, and Rotation & Scale). Make sure that the time line is at the beginning of time, put the armature into Pose mode, select all bones by pressing A a couple of time, then in the Pose menu, select Clear Transforms All. You should then be able to select in the pose menu, Apply - Apply pose as rest pose

Thanks that worked great. And afterward, as long as I make sure all transformations are cleared in the pose menu, the model exports to SFM well.

Yup, I think Source tools reads the current pose positions of the bones when it exports. Clearing all transforms seems to work before exporting and gives you the model in its natural rest position when you compile.
