To your problem: Try to add the cloth without weights, if you do this the cloth will not move a bit with the rig, but if you have your rig in pose mode, and then go to your cloth and switch to weight paint, you should be able to klick at any bone and weight your cloth to the direkt aktiv bone. If have more questions just ask, i can post some picture with more informations.
Ok i will not give any answer at all in the future, seeing u here to rescue just 2 days afhter the original post, we all just trying to help the best way we can. Also try do this daily for the last 3 years see how much u like to answer every one, as this the first time I see u answering some one.
Also trying to find a good tutorial takes time, and me thinking that a picture is 1000 words so with that logic a video would be a million.
Best way to do this btw is to have a collision body wich is invisible was trying to find the video for that but failed because i did not have the time.
Aswell it is normal to delete the torso and arms who are not visible so u wont see them poking through the cloths.
