Is it still alive?

Played The Division religiously during its prime days. Was looking to get back into it myself as these years later but unsure on if its still alive. Is it hard to find people for the coop aspects of the game such as the underground and exploring the dark zones?

Well, yesterday I went to the underground and got recruited into a group to do a few missions in the underground, and in the lobby area for other co-op activities I did see about 4-6 people. Even though I only saw one person in DZ, I did receive a feed of a rouge agent killing about 3-4 players... So in my opinion I would say it is still active, but it is a bit depending on the day and time to find someone to fight or play with, I think...

Even now 2024 there are people playing. Dark Zone always seems to have players. It is definitely worth it. I just wish I had bought all the DLC before I lost my job :(

Unfortunately, I switched from Xbox to PC and had to restart from the beginning, and I can definitely say that it's a LOT harder to find other "new"-ish players to run the story missions with. I haven't tried jumping back into the game from my Xbox profile, but I could imagine it's similar to what someone else said in that it's heavily dependent on the time of day.

i play this almost whenever im off work i have clocked in 3k+ hours i play pve here and there
but mostly DZ i enjoy pvp alot but sadly this game aint it for PVP no more theres rage cheaters going around killing all legits 24/7 and the game has died alot especially in NA servers and europe alot of familiar faces is all you see no new players but i don't recommend the dz to noobs, PVE go for it this game still fun 4 PVE but pvp hell nah lmao you gonna dislike it alot fosho. the skill gap for noobs in the dz they wont last + its hard for them to even get builds since GE was removed in january 2024 so kinda hard for noobs to even have a chance in the dz with optimizing their classified builds against folk like me who have every single build and are really good at pvp BUT I RECOMMEND IT FOR PVE!!!

There are only a few missions that require more people to complete. Everything else can be done solo so for that it doesn't really matter how many players are active. Not even for going into the DZ, unless you want to play PvP against cheaters. There are times you won't run into one but every day there's one or more teleporting all over the place. For other PvP modes you will probably run into matchmaking problems and not find anyone. Not sure since I hardly ever do/did it myself in this game, or TD2. It's PvP for dummies.

My brothers Steam know you come when I enter but it is forbidden for me to open a connection with you due to the type of equipment I have it and full protection si opened a port for server and you have programs that have not certified gives a fatal error on your pc

The number of players is small and most are at the end game. The number of people playing is a function of the day of the week and time of day. In the morning I see 300 to 500 people playing through STEAM. In the evening it is down to 20 to 30.

Just got out of DZ and recruited a full group of randoms with me and grinded it out. This is my all time favorite game and always pop in once in a while.
