Aso, just a question before I watch, it's more about teams. How do they work, I see you can team up with two or three other people, but is there like a clan system where you can have like 20 people together in one base, but can only go out in small groups?
No clan for release.
base is personal. Nobody could enter, visit nor see your base of operations. Nor could you see your friend's.
I read somewhere about the ability to create clan tags, and I know back then they said there would be web based clan support, not sure about the rest.
I doubt that the base of ops will allow for that, it's more for pve experience.
There's a social hub where you can meet up with players and form groups, but that's not the base of operations.
Angryjoe asked during his letsplay and had a "no" as an answer.
Yes but when you think about it that's logical.
everybody has a different base of operations. if you wanted to share it with your friends, you would have toput a loading screen here. This is not what the devs wanted so to keep it loading screen-free that was their only option.
There are multiple safe houses all over the city where you and your friends can enter but those are run by NPCs with a couple of shops in them and stuff like that.
Hmmm.
So the hub would be like destiny.
With check points around where you can buy sell and bank loot or gear?
I have never played destiny so I'm not sure. But basically you'll have your base of operations, which is only for you and you alone. Then there's the Social Hub which will be a big area where you can team up with other players. And all over there city are some "Mini Social Hubs" called safe houses. It's the same thing just smaller and most likely with less shops and stuff like that.
How does the perks work. I saw how you get them and earn hem, but is there a set amount you can have, like can you just grind and unlock everything like runescape, or is there a set amount you can have for a "build" type for uniqueness
Allow me to put it straight for you.
You have your base of operations. That evolves depending on your accomplished missions. There re merchants, crafting benches, quest giving NPC, stashes and ammos. For your eyes only. As far as respawning and fast travel go, the base acts like a safehouse.
Then you have regular safehouses. Anybody can go in and meet others. You find traders, ammos . You can fast travel and respawn onto them.
Then you have Dark Zone safehouses. Those are semi personal. You can see only people from your group/band/party. There re merchants (selling Dark Zone exclusive stuff) and ammos only. Fast travel on them hasn't been confirmed yet. These DZ safehouses are also where you respawn when you die in the DZ
You can have three active skills and I don't know have many passive ones. You'll be able to change your build and try out different combinations but you'll never run around with all skills at the same time.
You get x amount of perks, that you can only have a imit of, the you get y perks for passives, that are always there. And you (obviously) level up the different groups, to.gsin said perks.
