In single player mode, will there be any friendly AI companion following me?

I prefer SP to coop or MP. It's frustrating if I have to fight all alone without getting any support from AI fellows or being revived by them.

there's no single-player mode, you can just choose to play the campaign solo, there's no AI companions

pretty much my thoughts exactly. pretty sure the closest thing to AI companions will be escort missions. but there's no AI that joins the player in a party in place of players.
