Why So expensive?

I dont usually vent (to much, lol) but who cares about the pre ordering whingers I would be whinging about the cost of the game with season pass.

Standard game is $62US and with season pass its $101 (was $109), thats $40 for season pass what happened to the $20-$30 season passes, why are they so bloody expensive, its like paying for the good old expansions back on the 2000s but you only get DLC and not a full blow expansion.

Ok this is what is even more shocking of the price is that us Aussies have to include the exchange rates and inflated prices so that $101 is actually $130+ for a PC game, what a joke.

Its still not as bad as another FPS game that involved a certain starwars theme that recently came out by a different publisher of which it cost $160AU for the game and DLC, what a joke and they will just get worse the more people buy in their bullcr@p.

Anyway, Ubisoft is known to be rather arbitrary with their pricing models unfortunately. We don't know if that $40 Season Pass will be worth $40 as we expect it to be in terms of amount of DLC, or if they are just upping the cost arbitrarily, like they've done in the past.

No one is going to be able to answer your question as to why it's so expensive because not even industry analysts understand Ubi's pricing on games.

The good news is that Steam and Uplay aren't the only places you can get the game. You can find Ubisoft games on sale regularly at authorized Ubisoft vendors.

You can also find the game on sale from unauthorized vendors and often times cheaper than the others. But you take a risk doing so as Ubi has been known to revoke those licenses from time to time.

Well in some way he does have a point about games getting expensive. I mean where I am the game/season pass is 130 and base is 80..Just last year games were 60. My income has not gone up that much to account covering 20 more per game over a number of games. No I just have to pick and choose more carefully what I buy at launch or just wait a little for a sale.

Also 50 for a seaon pass you know nothing about is asking a lot these days. I have seen some season passes equal nothing more than junk while others are just a few bucks more. There have been an extreme few where you get way more than planned. It is always a bit of a gamble these days.
