Ubisoft executives are currently discussing the date of shutting down The Division, and it's most likely in a year approximately.

Dude, he's saying that I'm lying?! Dude is sponsored by Ubisoft, ofc he's gonna agree with Julian. Then again, since Tencent is buying Ubisoft, I think they'll keep the servers up, because when did you ever hear of Tencent shutting down servers (like very rarely). Also, just so you know, the original post was very true and they did discuss shutting down The Division as its playerbase isn't holding, and the current monthly revenue isn't worth the trouble. They were initially planning on pulling the plug during early 2025.

I'm gonna lean towards the word of the Executive Director of the franchise over someone who "has sources". It was Julian that said the claims of a shutdown were false. I even linked said youtube video to the timestamp where they are showing his Tweet response.

And maybe the monthly bills wouldn't be so bad if UBI stopped pissing around and wasting hundreds of millions on shovelware and cancled titles that nobody asked them for?

If you have been long enough with UB and paid attention you should know by now that whatever 'they' say is best taken with a truckload of salt. It usually boils down to them reverting and taking back many claims, like they do with changes added to title updates.

Besides that, if you think that an 'Executive Director' who's responsible for a single product would have any say in this, you're wrong. In companies the size of UB it's mostly the CFO or alike that has the final word on these kind of business decisions.

Like I said before, great if they can keep it running, wouldn't bet any money on it.

I will miss this game so much. I've put so quite a few hours on it, and even bought it here on steam later on.

Survival BR game mode is pretty good, too bad you can't even find people to play.

They should make it as standalone game mode.

Any game developer can....you're not paying for a game.....you're paying for a license to play the game as long as its kept active.

the game isnt shutting down they would have made a post on steam about the game sun setting this guy has no idea what he's talking about he just watched a youtube video from 8 months ago with a lot of buzz words in it trust me he knows nothing literally every game thats shut down on steam has made a community post they kinda have to

And they announce it far behind the the shut down time,
its the culture now, YouTubers make 30min clickbait videos based on 3 words some guy said some time ago, and people consume it as if its 100% factual and correct. with 0 knowledge on stuff.

In my other post here i mentioned countless other games that announced this and eventually shut down the game.

Also i dont understand the people against shut down of games, there are people here who havent even bought the game yet and are talking about the shutdown, or considering to buy the game after these years.

I've gave up on gaming culture and i dont associate with them anymore. 0 logic in this culture
