M44 or M1A (End Game)? What's your preference?
I love both Marksman rifle, but I switch them out from time to time depending on the situation. What are your preferences? Let's hear them out!

I agree, the only thing I can think about M44 compared to the M1A is that it has the best raw damage making it extremely powerful too.

This. If I could only find a "First Wave M1A" that's Gold or at least Purple level 30... I'd be happy.

M1A is good for any range, the amount of damage you can inflict up close with rapid fire headshots is absurd.

I have found that the M44 is actually really helpful on the higher difficulty missions when enemies absolutley pin you down with gunfire. It's a little more tolerable when you can poke your head out for half a second to shoot someone before crouching again, at no loss to your DPS.

I kinda like the SRS, but I can't claim endgame yet.

SRS is great for difficult missions, I'm using a lvl 28 one that causes bleeding 9.5% of the time (though it feels like almost 60%) and it could easily keep up on lvl 30 hard mode

M1A is something between the poweful bolt action ones and the real semi-autos damage wise.
I run with a Purple First Wave M1A and no other snipers have even come close to it. Im no min/max expert so my mods mostly suck (and are purple) but I regularly crit for 220k when buffed and can shoot my 19 ammo clip as fast as I can click without recoil. I even use it as my primary weapon in Challenging missions now. The 20-30 magazine snipers hit way too low per bullet and the 5-7 bolt action ones shoot too slowly to be effective in my opinion.

Dont think there is one
Ive seen someone get one from a drop in the last mission (General assembly I think) but Ive never seen a blueprint for it

My M44 does 180K headshots, crits around 300K without buffs. You don't need a lot of bullets. DZ 3-5 solo no problem. 1-2 hits for a normal champion. Named bosses around 9 bullets. But I have a chance to get a bullet back if i do headshot, so I rarely have to reaload wile fighting. And because of the distance there is enough time to reload or falling back to another angle. In a group my damage is higher because I don't need the healing skill. (My gear and mods are ♥♥♥♥)

Like the Covert SRS the best, I have found 4x HE m44s and while they can crit bigger...it's hard to do follow up shots; I find srs is more usuable. If the mobs can be one shot then I use the m44 (180k crits) but for every thing else I prefer the SRS (fast 120ks/340k super crits); I can get off two shots to one. Oh and I shamefulley admit I prefer a weapon that looks good over one that might be more damaging. In this case, I think SRS just looks so nice to me. I pray to RNGesus I might get HE to drop rather than M44s over and over, that gun seems to be common compared to the SRS. :S

I lov ethe Firstwave M1A the most. The really high rpm, combined with the 25% less recoil talent in skiltree, and good stability mods can easily outdamage a m44. I can pump out 30 to 40 headshots in a row using my m1a shooting in the head as fast as I can click due to almost no recoil doing this. Sure the m44 hits way harder but when I can pump out 10 shots to their 1 I think I end up doing more dmg. I only pve thoguh so maybe m44 better for pvp. I'm very good at getting headshots due to always playing sniper on masseffect 3 ^_^.

My normal headshots are around for 120 to 130k and I crit for around 550 to 580k. (with pulse)

Keep your eye out for the purple firstwave m1a. You can find some really nice ones.

M1.

Why? With max Accuracy I can pop off 500k + headshots way way faster than the M44 could hope to achieve.
