1440p Users: What Are the Ideal Graphics Settings?
In beta, I couldn't get a reliable 60 FPS on Ultra at 1440p Ultra (Win7, 16GB RAM, Titan X). Thing is, even if I lowered the quality to low, I couldn't get a decent, reliable framerate at 1440p.

So 1440p users, do we gotta suck it up and just play 1080p? I feel like the game is basically optimized for that resolution and anything else...Ubi wants us to go ♥♥♥♥ ourselves.

Anyone got decent results with 1440p? What's your setup?

Running smooth so far on 1440p, except on first start the default settings for the game which was low for some reason, ran poorly. Though a lot better than the beta did for me.

The only thing I didn't turn up was the supersampling or the extended distance slider . I left those where they are. Everything else I turned all the way up shadows stuff on high. FXAA off.
I also had to turn down the aiming sensitivity, look sensitivity and the mouse smoothing to off otherwise the game felt framey and conflicted with my mouse sensitivity set in razer synapse. Making the camera feel jittery.

My Nvidia control panel settings are :
Anisotropic 16x
1 prerendered frame
vsync/triple buffer.
Single display performance mode
Maximum performance power setting.

4GB GTX 970 G1 + latest game ready drivers.
AMD FX9590
16 GB Ram @1600mhz
Windows 10 64bit

Can't say any of this will help you though sorry. Ubisoft has a way with optimisation. People with better pcs getting worse performance than lesser systems.

Sweet...thanks for the details. I'll try the same settings tomorrow to see how I do.

is this on a certain area or all over the map? because some areas are not stable and wont even reach 60 even on 1080p. I can also run on that setting and maintain 60FPS on select parts of he map. But overall practical FPS is not stable at all.

Seems to be working ok now. staying at 60fps (capped at 60) the entire time.

1440p guy reporting in. 3770k/gtx970/32gb ram @ 2133/ssd/w7x64.Totallly not satisfied with release version perfomance, cuz both betas were running smoothly at near-ultra. Just gonna stick at high until ubisoft optimize or nvidia roll out new driver.
Boboduflachi 8/mar./2016 às 23:52
I rolled back to driver ver 361.75 (driver they released for the beta) and noticed a decent boost

Usually, there is some silver bullet setting to knock down and you get 10-20 frames back. I haven't found it for The Division. It seems like you get one or two frames for each setting.

I'm running SLI Titan X at 3440x1440

In the beta when there was no SLI scaling I had to turn down some shadow settings and do without AA, and then I was getting about 40-55fps.

Now the game has a decent SLI profile I can run at ultra with 1x MSAA enabled and regularly get 80-95 FPS at ultra settings.

The game is super finicky in areas, I can go from 50 to 90.

Ever since I past the Manhatten Transfer mission, my FPS dropped to almost half of what it was previously which was 60 - 70 fps....

Everything cranked @3440x1440 with Dual Titan X. Runs great.

the in game auto-detect made the game run like ♥♥♥♥, but geforce experience optimize actually made the game run stellar. 60fps minimum at all times:

AO: off
Antisotropic filtering: 16x
contact shadows: Sun Low
Depth of Field: Off
Full Screen
Wind Affected Snow: No
Extra Streaming Distance: 60%
Local Reflection Quality: Low
Object Detail: 60%
Parallax Mapping: Low
Partical Detail: Medium
Post FX AA: SMAA 1x Medium
Reflection Quality: Medium
Shadow Quality: High
Shadow Resolution: Medium
Spot Shadow Count: Medium
Spot Shadow Resolution: Medium
Sub Surface Scattering: No
Temporal AA: Supersampling
Volumetric Fog: Medium

since thats just what geforce experience put everything at, im sure i could jigger some things around to make it look better and still maintain perma 60 fps.

Whats confusing is having nvidia geforce experience, the nvidia control panel and the in game graphic settings.... Which is the best to fiddle with, and does messing with one override the other? Like which takes priority?
