can you get ride or hide thoser stupid backpacks ?

The male characters already looks like random peasant you see in the streets everyday, look even more like random wearing backpack, is it possible to get rid of this... the backpack.

I think the idea of the Division is that you're a sleeper cell trained for urban disaster. You're not full time military, you're a highly trained agent living a normal everyday life until activation. You're supposed to look like a "random peasant".
The backpack was mentioned ALOT in the beta beginning for you to understand it to be the better option for a 'bug out kit'. It also covered items that were deemed to be essential and others items less so, given that the longer the disaster went on, the less usefull many items become. The backpack is part of the story of the game in a way and as others have posted, if you want to go without one, thats up to you, but will negatively impact upon your game.

Why would you want to hide a backpack....

People scream and moan in forums over immersion and loot carrying and this game actually gives you a backpack and you want it removed....

You realize one of Fallout 4 most popular mods is the backpack one right because the default game had no backpacks......

it's just the single strap backpack, i just can't bear it. well at least there will be 2 strap backpacks that looks less dumb.
2 straps are ok also big military backpacks too.

actually you can unequip jackets, it's not the same as a "hide" function.

Until you step into the Dark Zone where all agents hae the potential to become ♥♥♥♥♥ and start killing each other instead of the bad guys. Yeah, no immersion breaking there at all, Ubisoft.

.....why would you think that people under no civil law DONT turn into ♥♥♥♥♥ and start killing each other? It would be totally immersion breaking if it wasnt like that, Bob the Builder is definately not going to give you a smile and a handshake as greeting in a dark alley if he thinks his big toe sticking out of his shoe in the middle of winter would just fit so much better in your nice comfy new sneakers. Even more so since you are frolicking around without a care in the world, backpackless because you didnt like its looks and without any gear ...

there is a reason why it is called going rogue. even if you are a part of a orignization you can betray it. but if you want you can likely go the entire game without every betraying anyone
