Lock picks?
Can someone explain me whats going on with the lock picks? Where and how can i get them?
I stood in front of a locked door in madison garden and cant open it because i dont had lock picks. Fine for me, it was early in game. Some time later i stood in front of another locked door and suddenly was able to open it because i got one and i dont know from where. Is it part of random loot? If yes, why the hell does the game dont show me that i loot lock picks when i do?

its a random loot, they are shown in your consumables, next to DZ keys. If you do the encounters and side mission you will have no problem getting them.

I know where i can see if i got some. If its random loot ok, thx for the information. But why does the game dont tell me when i loot them? No one can expect that you take every 15 min a look if you finally looted one. If i loot someone in real life i know what i loot too, because i see what im holding in my hands and nothing randomly spawns in my pocket. And that is what it feels like at the moment.

Yes it does, you just ran over the dead bodies looting everything and didn't even read what it was you picked up

It does show when you loot lockpicks. It appears on the lower part of the screen but if you are busy fighting you may not see it. In other words, it is not obvious to see unless you are looking for it.

That may be possible, i'll take an eye on that. Thx for that. But in my opinion it still should be better screened than.
I dont and i wont take loot blind. Even in borderlands i watch for every single white stuff if its worth for me to loot or not, and if its only worth for selling or not.

Been playing for close to a week now and haven't found a single lock pick

I have 100% game and I have +5 lockpicks.
WARNING: Once you open a door, and take what is behind, the door will be locked again later. DONT OPEN IT AGAIN! Waste of lockpicks, there will be nothing else behind that door.

About the Medison Mission one, you have to have a lvl2 filter behind that door, and ususally you dont have it if its your first mission. You probably will have to redo the mission to explore that area, having lvl2 filter.

All of this is true and correct.

What is also true and correct is that you can sprint to the box, open it, and loot it before you die here, netting you a couple of nice blues on an early mission.
