Tom Clancy's The Division
Turret mods don't seem all that useful
I've been playing the division for a little while now and I have to say that sadly the Zapper and Dragonbreath seem not very useful.

I understand the limitaions of Dragonbreath. It's a flamethrower, it only has short range. For what it's worth I think Dragonbreath is actually the more functioning of the two mods. But Zapper feels kinda useless. It's shocks last like a second, opening the target up for such a small amount of thime that by the time you get your head out and start firing they're already moving back into cover. The damage isn't very good either, and it's rather slow to fire. I think it'd be better if Zapper lasted a second or two more, or if it knocked out enemies if it hit them at 10% health for a survive xp bonus.

Well those are my thoughts, feel free to discuss your own.

Try the flamthrower turret combined with the seeker mine modded with gas. Does great with the enemy disorted with your shooting away at them with the turret adding additinal damage and adding burn. Also, the NPC's will target the turret, giving you more time to do damage. Works better if your a strong techie too :D.
The zapper combined with a high power marksman rifle works well for me. Gives me enough time to get a couple of head shots, which is usually at least one kill. The trick is to get into position where you know you will have shots, throw the turret, immediately ..... roughly line up your shot with blind fire reicle. Then as soon as target is zapped pop up and start firing. should be able to get from 2 to 5 shots off.

Yeh loving this combo so far, the zapper is also useful for stunning shotgun rushers and named mobs (although they usually just stomp it after 1 shock)
I find the zapper super useful personally usually my go to turret that stuns so helpful.
the turret is one of my two skills for two reasons
one, it supresses at least one enemy
two, it keeps other enemies busy

oh, and three, the big guy with the MG's run up to it to stomp it, and that gives you an opening to shoot at the small pack on their pack so it'll blow up and almost kill them completely
I actually stopped using the turret cause it can be hacked in Challenges. Wish we had that power. lol
At CHALLENGE or at L32 DZ turret is utterly useless. Even with maxed out skill-power spec it does pitifull damage and instead of dying in one hit, it may need full two to kill it.
Same goes for the seeker.

Also for some reason enemies FOCUS on both of these, or any deployed item if they see one.
The scanner one is useful to cover your ass when you're reloading your gun or planning to keep a bunch of mobs pinned--pretty good DPS support too.

It's a godsend for those playing as tanks against mobs. The turret creates another 'body' and let them get distracted on the little thing instead of you--lets you either pick them off leisurely, reload, or run to a different cover.

In short, the turret is your crowd control ability.

You dont "tank" at lvl30 and the turret gives you less time than it does to deploy it.
Turret with flamethrower + Sticky Bomb with flashbang mod. Enough CC for just about anything. Not really many other options end game except maybe support station.
First aid with defib can revive from a distance and support station can do it automaticly or offer free reloads. Those are what 90% of ppl use in Challenge.
