You can create a new character... On the main menu before you "continue game", there's boxes above the top of the menu for extra character slots...

Create a new character would be much more fun. Your stash is shared with your other toons.

This, then use you already created, higher level character to farm and put stuff in stash so your new character can get quicker cash, etc. Or once u catch up to your old character on the new one, even take those nice weapons and mods u have that are level appropriate so the new character can use em

Rename them? That makes no sense. You are your account name. Otherwise how we supposed to know who's who?

I'm usually an altaholic, but I see no reason to have more than one toon, unless you really want to do more than 3 dailies per day.

1. They share Stash and with that gear and loot.
2. You can farm phoenix points with them, the points are account wide and the daylie missions can be done with every char seperatley. which means, you get 4x PP!
3. You can do Incursions 4 times and give your main char the set pieces!

I just tested game for like hour or two got level 4, I wanna start fresh with friends. That was the reason :)

Well I suggest you to unlock at least the main base & redeem the gifts by the special vendor so you will have the stuffs/outfits available since the beginning for your new character.
