Advanced weapon vendor question

Is the gear you can buy from the advanced weapon ventor Level locked? Or is it the same lvl as you are? For example, if a lvl 12 char where to check his stock, would all the guns be lvl 20+ or around the same as the char? Does anyone know?

It's the same level or close to it (I'm level 19) and I've seen lvl 18-20 gear

Yea it's typically a few items your level and then a few items one level up or something.

Thanks, I got it around lvl 21, but i wasnt sure if it was capped at 20 or not.

The PURPLES tend to be one level higher than you. It think they do this so you can grow into the gear instead of buying it and than out leveling it. Same with the purple blue prints you get for finishing all the side missions in a zone.

I really wish some of the other BP's level with you when you pick them up and not what that mission/zone level rang is. Cause some of the weapons I would of prefer to use later on while grinding up my level.

I'm in chat with tech support right now. I'm gonna see if I can get even a semi answer from them on what the deal is, because if he really only ever sells the same garbage, why did they even bother making him?

Side note: they sell blues at lower lvls and thye all suck, not really worth it

Laughably, I learned nothing at all.

After two separate sessions timed out, the third person I talked to spend several minutes "investigating" then replied simply:

"Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Support. Your Report will be forwarded to the development team to help them further refine The Division."

I didn't investigate him much prior to level capping out at 30, but from what I've seen, the things he offers are static - i.e. they don't change (particularly at high level).

So you can get a good shotgun and a good LMG that looks like an AK-47 at level 30, but those don't change day to day.
